Mary McCormack Net Worth $5 Million
Born in Plainfield, New Jersey, McCormack is the daughter of Norah, a clinical therapist, and William McCormack, an ice cream parlor and car dealership owner. She has one sister, Bridget, who is now a justice of the Michigan Supreme Court, and brother William is also an actor. Unfortunately their parents divorced in 1990.
Although McCormack started acting at a very early age, she was able matriculate from Wardlaw-Hartridge School in Edison New Jersey. Later on, she attended Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, graduating with a degree in Comparative Arts focusing on painting and creative writing.
McCormack’s acting career started when she was twelve, in Gian Carlo Menotti’s production of “Amahl and the Night Visitors”. To further enhance her craft, she joined the acting program at the William Esper Studio. Her early years as an actress involved a lot of stage productions, which led her to work with New York Theater productions, The Atlantic Theater Company, Naked Angels, and Alice’s 4th Floor, all of which would help her career and net worth.
During the ‘90s, McCormack joined the world of television; in 1995, she became part of the cast of the series “Murder One”, in which she played Justine Appleton until 1997. After her stint on television, she also acted in several films during the late ‘90s, including “Private Parts”, True Crime”, “Deep Impact”, “High Heels and Low Lifes” and “K-Pax”, steadily adding to her net worth.
McCormack returned to television in 2004 when she was cast in the series “The West Wing” as Kate Harper, through the last three seasons of the show until it ended in 2006. One of her most memorable television performance to date came in 2008 when she starred in the series “In Plain Sight”, playing the character of Mary Shannon, and the success of the show lasted through five seasons ending in 2011. Her career in both film and television tremendously helped her wealth all throughout the years.
Aside from a lively career in film and television, McCormack also gained recognition when she joined the Broadway revival of “Boeing Boeing” in 2008. Her performance as Gretchen earned her a nomination for the Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Play.
Today, McCormack is still active as an actress. She recently appeared in “A Conspiracy on Jekyll Island” and “An American Girls Story – Maryellen 1955: Extraordinary Christmas”.
In terms of her personal life, McCormack has been married to Michael Morris, a director and producer, since 2003 and together they have three children.
