While attending school there, Sandara met the Filipino actress Pauleen Luna, who convinced her to compete in the singing competition Star Circle Quest 2004.

It was her pivotal moment, and she afterward joined Star Magic, an event-planning company that ultimately assisted her in landing several commercials, films, and television shows.
Since she didn’t speak Filipino well at first, Park admitted that she originally felt lonely in the Philippines. Her speech was poorly pronounced as well.
She persisted nevertheless and put a lot of effort into her language with the hopes of achieving fame in the future. Since she first learned about the K-pop boy band Seo Taiji and Boys in 1992, it had been her lifelong desire.
Sandara is now proficient in Tagalog, English, and Chinese in addition to her native Korean.
As of June 2023, the gifted actress and singer is unmarried. According to rumors, Sandara dated rapper G-Dragon, co-actor Kim Soo-Hyun, and Filipino artist Joseph Bitangcol.
