Chlöe Bailey is responding to some of the backlash she got for her intimate sex scene in the new Amazon Prime Video series, “Swarm.”

During the series premiere, the actress, who plays character Marissa Jackson, has an explicit scene with actor Damson Idris, who plays her boyfriend, Khalid.

After the premiere, some fans on Twitter were not too happy about it– but in a new interview with ET Canada, Bailey admitted that she laughed off the criticism.

“I was laughing about it,” Bailey told the outlet.

She continued, explaining that she was proud of the show and her performance.

“I am really proud of my performance in that show and being on set with such incredible actors like Damson [Idris] and Dominique [Fishback] and being directed by Donald Glover and being on set with the likes of Malia Obama and Janine [Nabers] and everybody,” she said.

The actress also added that she had a great experience while filming the series, as she learned so much about the craft.

“I learned so much being on that set,” she said. “I also learned that it’s okay to be imperfect as an actor because that’s where the realness lies.”

“We’re not supposed to play like this perfectly built human being, because that doesn’t exist in the real world. So when I let that go, acting became an even deeper love for me.”

Some fans had flocked to Twitter to discuss their dislike for the scene, calling the NSFW moment “unnecessary” and “uncomfortable.

The racy clip also brings in actress Dominique Fishback, who plays Dre, the sister of Bailey’s character, Marissa.

Dre comes to the door of their bedroom and watches what’s happening, when Idris’ character, Khalid, sees her and gives her a wink. He then continues to have sex with Marissa.

The new series, “Swarm,” is based on a rumor about a woman who allegedly committed suicide after listening to Beyoncé’s 2016 album “Lemonade,” according to Vulture.

It was created by Donald Glover and Janine Nabers, and also stars celebrities like Billie Eilish and Paris Jackson.

At this year’s South by Southwest festival, Bailey spoke more about filming and said that Idris made her feel “comfortable.”

“As open and liberal as I am about my body, I was very scared because I haven’t had that many partners,” she said while in conversation with Deadline.

She said about Idris, “I’m not like that — like that sexual and open. Damson made it really comfortable. You know, there were limited people on set; it was a closed set.”

A second season of “Swarm” has yet to be confirmed, according to Elle.

Bailey will play the main role of an aspiring musician in the upcoming Peacock series, “Praise This,” which comes out on April 7.
